Parkers 10th Birthday.. Better late than Never!

(This is so old, My desire to even sit at the computer has dwindled to nothing.)

Parker Turned 10 years old while we were in CA last summer. He had the BEST day ever, and still to this day says it tops all Birthdays combined. Parker's Birthday landed on Fathers day, Jeff was still attending Training in CA so we all were able to be together in a fun place. About a Month or so before, I found out that our cousins band Neon Trees was going to be playing in Santa Monica on the beach for the day at this super fun event called the "Pacsun Ballyhou". I scored several tickets and Jeff and I decided to take Parker for his Birthday. He was thrilled. We took several of my Nieces and Nephews down to the Pier and met up with a bunch of other family. When we got there it was actually more than just a concert, it was a full blown sponsor event. They had so many games, food, snacks, desserts, crafts, etc etc for people to do all for FREE. The kids walked around for hours and hours playing games, winning the best swag a Birthday boy could dream of. The kids walked away with hats, flip flops, shirts, beach towels, Frisbees, sunglasses, wallets, school folders, swim trunks, handbags, pins, stickers, etc etc from all their favorite company's like Hurley, Volcom, O'neil, Quiksilver, Roxy, Fox, etc. No need for Birthday Presents!

Later during the event Neon Trees took the stage, and blew the other bands out of the water! They put on the best show, and Parker was one happy kid to be a part of it. During one of the songs the Lead Singer Pointed Parker out in the crowd and Sung Happy Birthday to him "rock and Roll style" Parker was Beaming (thanks to an awesome cousin)! Parker could not believe the Surprise. (It is on you tube and I will figure out how to download it.)

The crowd lifted him up, screaming, cheering, etc. Definitely a Birthday he wont forget!

This might go down as the best birthday ever!
*Jeff and I recently saw a paper that Parker had to write about his Summer Vacation when the kids started back to school, and this Birthday/Concert was what Parker wrote as the Highlight of his summer. He told the WHOLE story in detail..Definitely gave us a good laugh.
